Instructions
Step #1: Download Fix-Recovery.zip and Super User app zip.
Step #2: Transfer both downloaded zip files to external SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything goes wrong, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded Fix-Recovery.zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #7: Once the installation is done, repeat the previous step to install UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.10.zip file.
Step #8: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
That’s it, your Galaxy Grand Duos is rooted now. Download and install the root checker app from the Google Play Store to confirm that your phone is rooted successfully or not.
