The Samsung Galaxy Chat is finally receiving the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update from Samsung officially through OTA and Samsung KIES that offers you an impressive and fast performance and battery life time, so go to Setting>About Phone and check software update to upgrade phone or connect the phone to Samsung KIES to do so.
However the Android 4.1.2 update for Galaxy Ch@t is currently available just in Spain, so if you’re not in Spain or can’t update phone via OTA and KIES, simply download and install the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean XXUBMC2 firmware on Galaxy Chat B5330 manually using Odin, it’s especially for those of you who’re running a custom ROM.
This guide shows you how to update Galaxy Chat to Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean with B5330XXUBMC2 firmware. You need a Windows PC with USB drivers installed, use Samsung KIES to install drivers but disable the KIES and other system unites such as Antivirus before installation because they may disturb manual installation.
Be sure to backup everything because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use the carbon Android app to backup apps and data, though the APN setting automatically restored from network, it make mobile date work, but if it doesn’t happen to you, restore it manually, you can use APN app to do so. Turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Instructions
Step #1: Download Galaxy Chat B5330XXUBMC2 firmware from here or here [File Name: B5330XXUBMC2_B5330OXABMC2_PHE.zip]
Step #2: Download the Odin3 v3.04 from here [File Name: Odin3_v3.04.zip].
Step #3: Unzip both downloaded zip files into a folder.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #5: Turn the device off.
Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down, home and power buttons until a warning screen appear, then press the volume up button to enter in download mode.
Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate B5330XXUBMC2_B5330OXABMC2_B5330XXUBMC2_HOME.tar.md5 file from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 3. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.)
Step #10: If your device reboot into normal mode, you’re done, enjoy! But if your device gets stuck at boot screen, you need to perform wipe, to do so, turn off device, then reboot into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons, in recovery mode, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen. Once it done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
