How To Install ClockworkMod Recovery for Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is one of best smartphone around the world that Samsung might not forget ever even it seems a reason that forced Samsung to launch an improved version as Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9105 and of course it should offer something better that you can’t enjoy with the original variant.

Here you can get the well-known ClockworkMod recovery for Galaxy S2 Plus that can be used to install custom ROMs, perform backups and wipe.

This guide shows you how to install ClockworkMod recovery for Galaxy S2 GT-I9105, you a need a Windows PC with phone driver installed, you can use Samsung KIES to install drivers but before installation, disable KIES because it may disturb installation.

Instructions

Step #1: Download ClockworkMod Recovery for Galaxy S2 Plus from here (If you’re using Indian firmware, download from here).

Step #2: Download Odin3 v3.04 from here.

Step #3: Unzip both downloaded zip files into a folder.

Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.

Step #5: Turn the device off.

Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down, home and power buttons until you see warning screen, then press the volume up button to enter in download mode.

Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).

Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate tar.md5 file (like CWMtouch-i9105_chotu.tar.md5) from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).

Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again).

Step #10: Reboot the phone.
